International Activities

The College of Business is committed to preparing students to compete in a global economy. There is no better way to prepare for today’s global business environment than to experience a new culture and business practices firsthand.  International programs offered by the College include a variety of options:  international internships, summer study abroad opportunities, and longer semester exchange programs.

Summer Internship Programs typically run 6-8 weeks and include both practical work experience and coursework in a class environment. Students may earn up to six hours of AU credit depending on their major.

On this AU faculty-led internship program, students get experience working 36-40 hours per week for 4-5 weeks on a team based project for an international company expanding in Chengdu. Many travel and cultural opportunities in China are included.

This AU faculty-led internship program is 7 weeks long, including one week of orientation and on-site interviews, six weeks of internship experience, and overlapping coursework and cultural activities. All work assignments will be in Dublin, Ireland.

This 8 week AU faculty-led program begins with a week of orientation, cultural activities, and on-site interviews followed by 6 weeks of internship experience in a major business area.  An International Marketing course is also taught in London.

Summer Study Abroad Programs usually run 3–6 weeks and are either exchange programs where the student attends a host institution or an Auburn faculty led course offered in conjunction with the program.

This program provides students the opportunity to study strategic management in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania with an Auburn faculty member. Company visits and candid discussions with business leaders in small group settings enhance the program.

The College operates a 4-week summer exchange program with ESDES in Lyon, France. ESDES is part of an association of top schools in France. Students can take programs in Finance or Marketing (both in English) and French language is available.

In this AU faculty-led program, students study innovation, entrepreneurship and technology at the Pamplona Learning Spanish Institute in Spain. The program includes lessons in General Spanish and Spanish for Business and is open to all majors.

This 4-week summer program at the University of Ulsan covers Korean culture, history, society, business, and language. Participants visit important cultural sites, as well as industrial complexes. The program typically runs during the month of July.

Semester Exchange Programs involve studying at a host institution for 1 or 2 semesters during the regular academic year.

The College has established an exchange program with ESDES School of Management. This program offers students the possibility of studying for 1 or 2 semesters at one of the top ranked business schools in France. Many courses are offered in English.

The College has established an exchange program with Groupe Sup de Co Montpellier Business School (GSCM) in Montpellier, France. GSCM offers a variety of business courses in English, but students are also required to take a French language course.

The College has a student exchange program with Institut de préparation á l'Administration et a la Gestion (IPAG) in Nice, France. IPAG provides education in management and business administration (in English), with an international focus.

The College has a student exchange program with the European Business School (EBS) in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany. EBS is one of the leading institutions for education and research in Business Administration in Germany.

The College has an exchange program with Institut de préparation á l'Administration et a la Gestion (IPAG) in Paris, France. The IPAG program is designed for students with little or no knowledge of French but an interest in international business.

The College offers an exchange program with Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences in Pforzheim, Germany. Participants can either take a variety of business courses in English or join an intensive course "German as a second language" at Pforzheim.

The College has a student exchange program with the College of Economics at Nihon University in Tokyo, Japan. Nihon University is Japan’s largest university. Classes are available in English for exchange students.

The College has an exchange program with the University of Ulsan (UOU), one of the top universities in South Korea. UOU is located in a city built around the Hyundai conglomerate.  Students may participate fall, spring, or for a full academic year.

Learn and Teach in Ulsan (LaTU) is a scholarship program (including a stipend and usually airfare) sponsored by the University of Ulsan (UOU). Participants are expected to teach English to UOU undergraduate students as a tutor, while studying at UOU.
