Supply Chain Management Minor

With this minor students gain a basic knowledge of supply chain operations and develop strategies for continuous improvement of the performance of a supply chain.  This program, which can be tailored to accompany any major, provides a valuable skill set applicable to any industry.

Required Courses

SCMN 3150 OPS: MNGT OF BUSINESS PROCESSES

LEC. 2. Fundamental concepts, techniques and tools of business processes. Credit will not be given for both SCMN 3150 and MNGT 3150.

SCMN 3710 LOGS: MNGT OF FULFILLMENT PROCESSES

LEC. 3. Management of logistics processes involved in meeting customer demand, including inventory, transportation, distribution, and related activities. Credit will not be given for both SCMN 3710 and AMLG 3710. Fall, Spring.

SCMN 3720 TRANS: MNGT OF PRODUCT FLOWS

LEC. 3. Management of transportation operations and the role of transportation in achieving supply chain objectives. Credit will not be given for both SCMN 3720 and AMLG 3720. Fall, Spring.

SCMN 3730 PURCHASING:SUPPLY MNGT & SRCNG

LEC. 3. In-depth coverage of purchasing and supply management processes, strategies, and tools. Credit will not be given for both AMLG 4340 and SCMN 3730. Fall, Spring.

SCMN 4810 PROF DEV IN SUPPLY CHAIN MNGT

LEC. 1. SU. Pr., SCMN 3150. Career planning and preparation for transition from university student to supply chain professional. Credit will not be given for both SCMN 4810 and BUSI 4010. Fall, Spring.

SCMN 5710 ADVANCED PROCESS ANALYSIS

LEC. 3. Pr., SCMN 3150. Advanced concepts, techniques and tools for process analysis; process performance; process control; process design. Credit will not be given for both SCMN 5710 and MNGT 5250 or MNGT 5350. Fall, Spring.

SCMN 5720 QUALITY& PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
