Henry Burdg serves as Director of the Alabama Technology Network at Auburn University (ATN-AU) and the Auburn Technical Assistance Center (ATAC) at Auburn University. His assignment for the past 28 years has been working to facilitate economic development with businesses, primarily Alabama manufacturing firms, to assist them to become more competitive and efficient. He is professionally certified as a Management Consultant ('CMC'), an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP), and Professional Business Advisor (PBA). He has conducted some 550+ industry client projects. His work involves the application of technology (hard and soft) on a statewide basis and throughout the southeast. Mr. Burdg is a senior examiner for the Alabama Quality Award. He has 13 publications in refereed journals and some 10 proceedings publications. The journals include Journal of Management Consulting, Consultation: An International Journal, Long Range Planning, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Management and the Transportation Journal. Mr. Burdg has been the recipient of the national Management Excellence Award from the Society for the Advancement of Management, the Excellence in Outreach and Extension award from Auburn University, and the Professional Excellence Award from Auburn's College of Business.
