Professional Activities:
Dr. Padgett has published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Retailing, and Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, as well as several refereed conference proceedings. He has been an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Advertising, Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, and the Journal of International Marketing, and has served as a reviewer for textbooks in services marketing and business to business marketing. He is currently a member of the Association for Consumer Research and the American Marketing Association.
Dr. Padgett’s primary teaching responsibilities include Marketing Strategy and Marketing Management, though he has taught a variety of courses and won teaching awards at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He is also a co-advisor for the Auburn University Marketing Association (AUMA). Dr. Padgett has professional sales experience, and has consulted with companies on topics such as sales compensation, sales forecasting, retailing, promotion strategy, marketing planning and implementation, and business development. He also has experience training sales managers in company specific programs (e.g., Hilton Hotels, DHV China BV) and internationally for the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai.
