Professional Activities:
Dr. Waters has taught 15 years at Auburn University and 10 years at the University of Texas in Austin. During that time, Dr. Waters has received numerous teaching awards, including ones presented by the University of Texas Ex-Students Association and the Auburn University Alumni Association. Dr. Waters has also received the Outstanding Faculty Member Award from the Auburn University Business Council a total of four times. Dr. Waters has published his research in several professional and academic journals, including The Journal of American Taxation Association, The CPA Journal, The Accounting Educators' Journal, The National Public Accountant, and The Journal of Accountancy. He is a member of Beta Alpha Psi, Delta Sigma Pi, Phi Eta Sigma, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Phi Kappa Phi.
