Professional Activities:
Dr. Yates' research focuses on behavioral finance and investments. His labor economics paper 'Strike Three: Umpires' Demand for Discrimination' has been cited in the New York Times, USA Today, Time.com and elsewhere. Professor Yates currently teaches undergraduate investments in the college of business. Before coming to Auburn University, Dr. Yates taught business finance at the University of Texas at Austin, where he received the Fred Moore Assistant Instructor Award for Teaching Excellence.
