Program Objective

The objective of the MSIS program of study is to prepare the graduate to assume a senior staff position or management position in the information systems field, or simply to become a MIS professional. Where the undergraduate programs readies the graduate to become a programmer-analyst, telecommunication administrator, or apprentice database administrator, the masters program graduate should be prepared to manage such a group of people. You should understand the need for information technology as well as having the skill to plan for, create, and implement it.

The required courses in the program will give you the skills to understand and create computer-based systems. The additional courses give you the understanding of the use of information technology to implement business vision, take advantage of opportunity, and to gain a competitive advantage in a global economy.

Application Form & Other Resources

Curriculum
