Virus Scan Download
Auburn University is offering through the College of Business
Sophos Anti-Virus for installation on home computers.
This software is available for all Auburn University
students and employees.
Please choose the link below that describes your computer.
If your computer is a personal machine not belonging to the University, please obtain your anti-virus from OIT here.
If your computer is a desktop on Campus, or a mobile computer used primarily on campus, choose "On Campus," otherwise, if the computer is kept at your house, choose "Off Campus."

Installation: Download and run the installer.
The entire installation will run silently in the background. (Vista users may need to confirm a UAC prompt.)
During the installation you may notice the McAfee icon disappear. The Sophos icon (a gray shield) will appear
and one side of the shield will light up as it updates.
Once the shield turns blue, the installation is complete and Sophos is fully up to date. [Printer Friendly] [Troubleshooting]

*Antivirus software for personal computers not purchased with University funds is available from OIT here. Users whose equipment is not supported by Network and Media Services or the College of Business should contact their IT department.
