The Office of Business / Student Partnerships is in place to assist with your on-campus interviewing arrangements on a small scale (1-3 interview rooms based on availability). The Auburn University Career Services Office (303 Martin Hall 844-4744) is also available to assist withy our on-campus recruiting needs. For any of your potential interviewing activities, please take into account your timetable for beginning and finishing your process. For some employers, the interviewing process is several months, depending on the number of schools involved and the logistics of site visits, etc. Conversely, some interviewing plans can be completed within one month easily.
The on-campus recruiting process is sensitive to the academic calendar in terms of publicizing your information, giving students time to respond, and affording time for students to sign-up for interviews. The College of Business does not have a resume database; instead it relies on publicizing your opportunities to students, and then having student’s express their interest through resume drops to the OBSP, or by sending their materials directly to the recruiter. The recruiter can then decide if they want to interview at their facilities, or make arrangements to interview on campus.
The heaviest semester of recruiting activity is usually in the Fall semester for the entire academic year. The OBSP is able to handle shorter contingencies if your needs are more immediate, and do not allow time for drawn out timeframes. Please communicate with Dr. Lawrence in the OBSP as early as possible, and let him know what your goals and contingencies are, and he will do his best to assist you in identifying talent in the College of Business to meet your needs.
