TRAVEL / LODGING INFORMATION

Auburn University is located in Auburn, Alabama, approximately 50 miles northeast of Montgomery, AL; 45 miles northwest of Columbus, GA; 100 miles southwest of Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport; and 110 miles southeast of Birmingham, AL in the east central portion of the state. NOTE - TIME ZONE DIFFERENCES: Auburn, Alabama is in the Central Time Zone (Atlanta, GA and Columbus, GA are in the Eastern Time Zone). Please note this time zone difference in making travel arrangements.

PARKING: There is parking available behind the Lowder Business Building for guests and staff on a first-come, first-serve basis. As on most college campuses, parking is very limited. Contact our office ahead if you will need a Parking Pass. Parking Passes for Guests can be obtained at the Campus Parking Services Office on the corner of Duncan Drive and Bibb Graves Drive (Located in two trailers next to the Allison Lab Building which is adjacent to the Amphitheatre Off of West Samford Avenue at the University Theatre). The Guest Parking Pass is authorized only for your use, and is not a reserved spot, but allows you to park in any space with the exception of handicapped spaces, and reserved spaces as designated by individual signs at each reserved parking space. If you are parking in a space with a parking meter, you will need to put money in the meter for the time you are on campus. If you receive a parking ticket while on campus, please send it to the Office of Professional & Career Development along with a description of the situation, and we will attempt to rectify the situation. Our office is not able to assist you with your parking concerns if you violate university parking policies, or if you park in restricted spaces. If you do not have a Parking Pass when you arrive, you may pick one up at the Campus Parking Services Office, or inform the security guard at the Parking Lot Entrance (not always present) that you are an Employer Guest and that you will pick-up your Parking Pass in Lowder 101.

The Office of Professional & Career Development is located in Suite 101 of the Lowder Business Building, which is located at 415 West Magnolia Avenue, which is approximately 4 blocks from Toomer's Corner /Downtown Auburn. If entering from the front (Magnolia Avenue) entrance of the Lowder Business Building (No Parking Available in Front) - our office entrance is the first door on your right.

If entering from the Back Parking Lot off of Dormitory Drive - as you face the back of the building, take the left entrance - once inside on the "G-Ground Floor," follow the main hallway to the end of the hall, and turn right, where you will find the elevator on your right. Take the elevator one floor up (to Floor #1) and upon exiting the elevator, look to your left. Suite 101 is the office suite on the left side of the main lobby.

NOTE: Atlanta is on Eastern Time, and Auburn is on Central Time.

• Travel South on Interstate 85 to Exit #51 (US 29 South - Auburn);
• Exit and turn RIGHT onto U.S. Highway 29 North (Becomes South College Street).
• At the fourth traffic light, turn LEFT onto Donahue Drive (first light is for the Comfort Inn/Waffle House; the second light is for Wal-Mart; the third light is at the intersection with Shug Jordan Parkway / University Drive (Winn-Dixie Shopping Center on your right); and the fourth light has a Plant Nursery on your immediate right at the intersection with a strip mall on your left).
• You will pass through 3 traffic lights and a 3-way STOP on Donahue, as you pass thru the 3-way STOP, you will have passed Jordan-Hare Stadium.
• At the FOURTH Traffic Light, TURN RIGHT (Dormitory Drive).
• Once you have turned onto Dormitory Drive, take your first LEFT into the College of Business parking lot.

• NOTE: To Obtain a Parking Pass from Campus Parking Services – On Donahue Drive, Turn RIGHT at the Second Light onto Samford Avenue. Proceed to the Next Light, and Turn LEFT onto (Duncan Drive). Half-way down the hill, Turn RIGHT onto Bibb Graves Drive, and take an Immediate LEFT into the Parking Lot where you will see two trailers which is the temporary location for Campus Parking Services, OR obtain a Parking Pass from the Office of Business / Student Partnerships in 105 Lowder when you arrive.

Entering the Lowder Business Building from the Back Parking Lot off of Dormitory Drive - as you face the back of the building, take the left entrance - once inside on the "G-Ground Floor," follow the main hallway to the end of the hall, and turn right, where you will find the elevator on your right. Take the elevator one floor up (to Floor #1) and upon exiting the elevator, look to your left. Suite 101 is the office suite on the left side of the main lobby.

Option #1:

• Travel South on Interstate 65 to Montgomery.
• Follow the signs for I-85 North to Atlanta to Exit #51 in Auburn.
• Exit to your RIGHT and turn LEFT at the top of the exit ramp onto U.S. Highway 29 North.
• Not counting the two lights at each end of the Interstate bridge crossing I-85, go to the FOURTH traffic light (approximately 2-3 miles), and turn LEFT onto Donahue Drive ( a plant nursery will be on your right, and a small strip mall on your left).
• You will pass through 3 traffic lights and a 3-way STOP on Donahue, as you pass thru the 3-way STOP, you will have passed Jordan-Hare Stadium.
• At the FOURTH Light on Donahue Drive, TURN RIGHT (Dormitory Drive).
• Once you have turned onto Dormitory Drive, take your first LEFT into the College of Business parking lot.

Option #2:

• Travel South on U.S. Highway 280 (Marked as U.S. Highway 280 East).
• Turn RIGHT onto Alabama Highway 147 South (Mile Marker #111), which will be past the Beef Cattle Research Unit on your right; landmarks on your left include the turn for Alabama Highway 147 North to Lafayette (approximately 50 yards before the turn for Alabama Highway 147 South), and a Rest Station. This road takes you into Auburn as North College Street, which also becomes U.S. Highway 29 South.
  • Once you are on Alabama Highway 147 South/North College Street, go to the FIFTH light, which will be the intersection of College Street and Magnolia Avenue (Toomer's Corner), and turn RIGHT onto West Magnolia Avenue.
  • Proceed several blocks passing Chick-fil-A, Subway and Arby's on your Right until you reach the first traffic light (intersection with Donahue Drive).
  • TURN LEFT onto Donahue Drive, and when you come to the first light (intersection with Dormitory Drive), TURN LEFT.
  • Once on Dormitory Drive, take your FIRST LEFT into the College of Business parking lot.

• NOTE: To Obtain a Parking Pass from Campus Parking Services – Stay Straight on College Street past Magnolia Avenue and go to the THIRD Light (Samford Avenue) and Turn RIGHT. Proceed straight thru the 4-Way Stop to the Next Light, and Turn RIGHT on Duncan Drive, and half-way down the hill, Turn RIGHT onto Bibb Graves Drive, and take an Immediate LEFT into the Parking Lot where you will see two trailers which is the temporary location for Campus Parking Services, OR obtain a Parking Pass from the Office of Business / Student Partnerships in 105 Lowder when you arrive.

NOTE: Columbus is on Eastern Time and Auburn is on Central Time.

• From the Columbus Airport, from the Airport Thruway take I-185 North to Atlanta.
• Once on I-185 North, take the first exit which will be for U.S. Highway 80 West to Phenix City, AL.
• Follow this bypass until it deadends, Bear Right, and take U.S. Highway 280 West towards Opelika, AL.
• Follow U.S. Highway 280 until it reaches Interstate 85 South in Opelika, AL and turn LEFT onto I-85 South to Montgomery.
• Approximately 8-10 miles later take Exit #51 in Auburn. Exit to your RIGHT, and turn RIGHT onto U.S. Highway 29 North (S. College Street) at the end of the ramp.

• Follow U.S. Highway 29 North (South College Street) until you come to the FOURTH Signal where you will TURN LEFT onto Donahue Drive.
• You will pass through 3 traffic lights and a 3-way STOP on Donahue, as you pass thru the 3-way STOP, you will have passed Jordan-Hare Stadium.
• At the FOURTH Traffic Light on Donahue, TURN RIGHT (Dormitory Drive).
• Once you have turned onto Dormitory Drive, take your first LEFT into the College of Business parking lot.

• NOTE: To Obtain a Parking Pass from Campus Parking Services – On Donahue Drive, Turn RIGHT at the Second Light onto Samford Avenue. Proceed to the Next Light, and Turn LEFT onto (Duncan Drive). • Travel North on Interstate 85 (Signs marked for Atlanta) approximately 50 miles to Exit #51 – Auburn.
• Exit to your RIGHT and turn LEFT at the top of the exit ramp back across the interstate (you will now be on U.S. Highway 29 North). At this point, you will have gone through two traffic lights at each end of the interstate bridge.
• Go to the FOURTH traffic light (first light – Comfort Inn / Waffle House; Second Light - Wal-Mart; Third Light – Chevron Station; Fourth Light - Plant Nursery is on your right) and TURN LEFT onto Donahue Drive.
• You will pass through 3 traffic lights and a 3-way STOP on Donahue, as you pass thru the 3-way STOP, you will have passed Jordan-Hare Stadium.
• At the FOURTH Traffic Light, TURN RIGHT (Dormitory Drive).
• Once you have turned onto Dormitory Drive, take your first LEFT into the College of Business parking lot.
