Non-Business Students

Registration for the Summer Terms of 2009
All summer courses are open to registration by Business students and Non-Business Students.

Registration for the Fall Semester of 2009

ACCT 2810, FINC 3810, MKTG 3810, and MNGT 3810 are open to registration by Non-Business students only.

There is one section of following courses open to registration by Non-Business students:
ACCT 2110—Section 005—CRN:  12510
ACCT 2210—Section 001—CRN:  12557
FINC 3610—Section 001—CRN:  10913
MNGT 3100—Section 008—CRN:  13981
MNGT 3460—Section 005—CRN:  16861
HRMN 3420—Section 005—CRN:  16916

 

All sections of ACCT 2990 will be open to registration by Business students and Non-Business students.

All ECON courses will be open to registration for Business students and Non-Business students.

All three sections of MKTG 3310 will be open to registration for Business students and Non-Business students.

If a Non-Business student wishes to register for a business course other than the ones mentioned above, he/she needs to complete a registration form and return it to Suite 023 of Lowder.  These forms will be reviewed by Gary Waters to insure the student meets the stated prerequisites.  If the prerequisites are met, Gary Waters will ask departmental representatives to add students to requested courses.  That request will be granted if space is available.


 

Business Minor Requirements

To earn a Business Minor, a student needs to complete the courses listed below.

ACCT 2110 or ACCT 2810
ECON 2020*
FINC 3610 or FINC 3810
MNGT 3100 or MNGT 3810
MKTG 3310 or MKTG 3810
*If a student completes ECON 2020 as a part of the University Core Curriculum, he/she needs to complete ECON 2030 for the Business Minor.

Recommendation:  In relation to the Business Minor requirements shown above, non-business students are strongly encouraged to complete ACCT 2810, FINC 3810, MNGT 3810, and MKTG 3810.  These courses are specifically designed for non-business students.  With that being said, if a non-business student wishes to take additional upper division business courses in Marketing, he/she should complete MKTG 3310.

Note:  To be enrolled in Marketing 3310, a student needs to have completed ECON 2020 and needs to be classified as junior or as senior.  These prerequisites are strictly enforced by the Marketing Department.
