In today’s economy you’ll need every advantage to land the job and the salary you want. The College of Business’s Office of Professional and Career Development helps students assess their skills, focus their interests and leverage their capabilities to find the employment you seek.
You’ll get help and advice on researching companies, targeting jobs, writing your resume and cover letter and sharpening your interview skills. The Office can help arrange mentorship and job shadowing opportunities, and can even notify you when potential employers come to campus.
Though it’s never too late to take advantage of the OPCD, the earlier in your college career you make get in touch, the sooner you can get focused on that great job. Not sure of your direction? No worries. The Office will not only help you pick the right combination of major and minor to maximize your capabilities, it will help you polish those all-important business professional skills.
Drop-in sessions with career counselors are available from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday; but if you want more help in selecting a major and planning a career strategy, schedule an appointment by calling (334) 844-7203.
