Students - Career Expos @ The College of Business

In an effort to assist students with their internship and career position interests, the OBSP coordinates “Mini Career Expos” for all College of Business students, and some major specific events during both Fall and Spring semesters. The events for all majors in the college are scheduled if at all possible, in conjunction with the dates of the campus wide Career Expos sponsored by Career Services in Martin Hall. The events are an opportunity for studnts to have more one-on-one time with employers interested in recruiting business majors. Strategize your Career Expo events – single out those in the College of Business during the morning / early afternoon, and then visit with other employers when you go to the campus-wide event in the late afternoon / early evening.

These events are usually one day events with the event starting at 8:30-9:00AM and ending at 2-3PM. Business professional dress is suggested, with at least business casual expected. Please have copies of you resume to distribute, and spend time before the event doing your homework on employers of interest to you. Lastly, have questions also developed before the event to ask representatives while they are visiting. The intent of the events is to facilitate interaction between students and employers related to internship and career position recruiting. Attendance ranges from 200 – 350 students per event. At this time, there are also expo events for Aviation Management and Logistics majors, one each semester. Additionally, OBSP has sponsored specialty events by location “ Columbus, GA Employers Day”, and also by industry “Sports Management Careers Day” as other options to address the various interests of students. Watch the OBSP Calendar each semester for these events.
