Honor Societies

This honorary and professional accounting fraternity is open to accounting majors who have met the following requirements:
1. Formally declared accounting as a major
2. Completed ACCT 3110 and making progress toward an accounting degree.
3. Have an upper-level accounting GPA of at least 3.0 and have an overall GPA of 3.0 or have attained at least a cumulative 3.25 on their most recent 45 quarter hours.
Transfers have to complete two upper-level accounting courses at Auburn University with at least a 3.0 GPA. The purpose of Beta Alpha Psi is to promote professional growth, academic enhancement, social activities, leadership opportunities, and service activities. |

This scholastic honor society fosters excellence in scholarship in the business discipline. Eligible graduate students must be in the top 20 percent, while seniors must be in the top 10 percent of the class and juniors must be in the top seven percent of the class. Members are selected each spring quarter. |

The purpose of Eta Mu Sigma is to recognize and honor those individuals in the fields of Aviation Management who have, through outstanding achievement, been a credit to their profession. Eta Mu Sigma's functions are to encourage professional development, develop spiritual and leadership skills, and provide a medium of communication between individuals in the industry and its members. Members must achieve a 3.3 cumulative GPA as a junior and a 3.0 cumulative GPA as a senior. |

Sigma Iota Epsilon is both an honorary and professional fraternity. It is the Student Division of the Academy of Management. This fraternity is open to management majors who have met the following requirements: (1) have a GPA of at least 3.0 on all work taken at Auburn; (2) completed at least 30 semester hours; (3) completed a minimum of one management prefix course with a grade of B or better; and (d) stated their interest of continuing in the management curriculum by taking at least one more management prefix course. The purpose of Sigma Iota Epsilon is to encourage and recognize scholastic excellence and to promote cooperation between the academic and practical aspects of management. |
