The College is proud to be accredited at the undergraduate and graduate levels by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), the highest standard of achievement for business schools. Less than one-third of U.S. business schools and only 15% of business schools worldwide meet the rigorous standards of AACSB International accreditation. The Aviation and the Aviation Management-Professional Flight programs are accredited by the Council on Aviation Accreditation (CAA). AU is one of 18 academic institutions in the nation with a fully accredited aviation program.
Auburn University's undergraduate business program has been ranked 48th in the nation, according to the 2008 U.S. News & World Report rankings. Among public institutions, AU's business program is ranked 29th. This exceeds our best previous ranking of 30th, among public institutions, in 2002. Overall, the university ranked 45th among public universities nationwide. Auburn has ranked among the nation's top 50 public universities for 15 consecutive years.
The U.S. News & World Report's 2009 edition of "America's Best Graduate Schools" ranked the College of Business 66th, up from 80th in 2008.
The AU logistics program has been ranked among the Top 20 logistics and transportation programs in the country, according to a recent survey published in Supply Chain Management Review magazine. The results were based on a survey of supply chain practitioners and academics. Auburn ranked #20 overall and #11 among universities with an undergraduate logistics major.
Auburn University has been named one of the best 100 collegiate entrepreneurship programs in the United States (Top 50 Regional Program) in the April 2005 issue of Entrepreneur magazine.
AU School of Accountancy graduates have consistently passed the CPA Exam at double the national pass rate.
In 2005, the M.B.A. Program was ranked 26th among the nation's public institutions and 53rd overall, according to a Forbes.com special report. The ranking measures best "return on investment" for MBA graduates.
Modern Physician magazine's annual ranking of the Top Business Schools for Physician Executives has been released for 2007. The Auburn University Physicians Executive M.B.A. Program ranked 9th overall for 2007. Among M.B.A. programs, the Auburn PEMBA is number 4. The Physicians Executive M.B.A. Class of 2006 was comprised of 16 physicians from 12 different states. Several of these students, including Chief of the Transplant Surgery division at one of America's Best Hospitals, came as referrals - an indication of the positive reputation of the program among its alumni.
The Auburn University College of Business has been named among the Best Business Schools, according to New York-based education services company, The Princeton Review (2008 edition) . The book's editors cited Auburn's portfolio of MBA programs, including the traditional on-campus model, the distance model and the executive MBA program.
